Horsham Museum
South East England, EnglandHorsham Museum is located in the historic tree-lined "Causeway" and is housed in a beautifully preserved 16th century merchant's house and walled garden. It also houses Horsham's Tourist Information Centre.
Exhibitions: The Museum exhibits a wide ranging selection of local history and rural crafts and houses a comprehensive collection on the life and works of locally born poet, Percy Bysshe Shelley. The Museum is also home to the world famous dinosaur bones of the Rudgwick "Polacanthus".
The Museum features a regular programme of changing exhibitions, both in the main gallery and in the Arts and Crafts exhibition space, where items are often available for sale.
Specialist Access: Horsham Museum boasts an extensive library resource, where you can browse local history books at your leisure, as well as "The Pod" - a new computer facility allowing you to look up individual details on many items within the Museum's collection.
