The Highland Center Hrauneyjar is situated at the edge of the country’s most impressive and active volcanic area. From here there is a short distance to many of the most beautiful and popular tourist attractions in the highlands- including Landmannalaugar, Þjórsárdalur, Mt. Hekla, Sprengisandur, Veiðivötn, and Fjallabak. The hotel is easily accessible by a paved road all year round and is only 150 km from Reykjavik.

The place is known as the ‚Äûlast outpost‚ " before entering the highlands. The Highland Center Hrauneyjar has 71 rooms. The restaurant at Hrauneyjar offers a decent menu all year round. We offer a la carte menu, soup, and salad bar during the summertime.

The Highland Center Hrauneyjar is open all year round except for a few days during Christmas and The New Year.
