Fishing in Gol and Golsfjellet

Gol offers a variety of fishing opportunities, with trout being the main catch. There are four fishing zones in Gol, including Hallingdalselva, Golsfjellet fishing, fishing from a boat in Golsfjellet, and nedre Heimsiland Søråsen. Fishing cards can be purchased at www.inatur.no and also at several stores, such as Gol turiskontor, Gol Verktøy og Sport Robru Joker, Gol Campingsenter, and Personbråten Camping. The fishing cards are also available at various hotels on Golsfjellet, such as Oset Høyfjellshotell, Storefjell Hotell, Golsfjellet Fjellstugu, Kvanhøgd Turistsenter, and Lægeret Camping. It is important to have a fishing card when fishing, and children under 16 can fish for free. If you do not have a fishing card, there is a fee of kr. 250.
