About this experience

The Burnt Oak is a very old tree with an unbelievable story. Through time, the tree has survived many things e. g. lightning and one of the worst storms ever recorded in Denmark. However, the old tree did not give up its will to live, and when spring came, green leaves sprang forth. Unfortunately, it finally seems to have given up life - but it's still worth a look in the woods! There are many rare species of insects in the area, and part of the wood has been declared a protected area. The Burnt Oak is placed in the wood “Storskoven” near Flyvesandet.
