About this experience

A charming museum located in the beautiful old fishing centre of Käringsund, Eckerö, with fishinghouses and the sea as its neighbours. The exhibitions contains stories and artefacts from local hunting and fishing traditions in the Åland Island archipelago. From the summer fishing cabins in the outer archipelago to the dangerous seal hunting during winter times.

The museum also has a display of the local fauna, inluding eagles, seabirds and a moose. Outside you can inspect an old fishing boat and take a walk through the ages on our geology-path.
