Glacier walk at Okstindbreen and Summit hike to Oksskolten
Northern Norway, NorwayJust below the Arctic Circle, you will find Norway's eighth largest glacier, and it spreads mightily from about 1500 meters above sea level and down towards the many lush valleys. We will take us from Kjennsvatnet and up to Austre Okstindbre, which is also Norway's oldest glacier with its 9000 years of existence. At the glacier tongue, we will gear up with our glacier equipment and connect to the rope layer. The guides will take you safely up the glacier, where we will have the opportunity to use an axe and crampons in glacier cracks. We will have a more extended break at a spot where you enjoy the view and the beautiful nature around the glacier. The trip is moderately demanding and provides a magnificent experience you will treasure. No prior knowledge is required.
