Portør
Eastern Norway, NorwayAbout this experience
Levangshalvøya, a peninsula on its own, holds the idyllic and scenic Portør, a part of the Jomfruland National Park where everything is situated to make your experience unforgettable, all year round.
As mentioned in "The Sagas of the Viking Kings of Norway", Sigurd Slembe used Portør as his harbour, and many exciting and dramatic events have taken place in these waters. Additionally, an old maritime pilot station, a cottage belonging to the station, and the 1808 reconstructed optical telegraph signal station have all been discovered in the area.
The picturesque coves, forests, and smooth-cut bare rock landscape of Portør are some of the most delightful archipelago landscapes.
