About this experience

This country courtyard consists of a main building, a raised storehouse, a barn, a house for servants with a well-stocked general store, a playroom, a smithy and an oast house. There is a cotter's farm with a dwelling, cowshed and storehouse. The farmyard is a combination of a museum and a working farm for meetings etc. Today Rakkestad Rural Museum is a functioning farmyard with hens, horses and rabbits.
