Protect Cyprus’s wild birds
About Birdlife Cyprus
Founded in 2003, BirdLife Cyprus is the leading organization dedicated to the protection and conservation of birds, their habitats, and wider biodiversity across the island of Cyprus. As a partner of BirdLife International, BirdLife Cyprus works to safeguard the island’s unique bird species and natural ecosystems, which are under constant threat from habitat destruction, illegal hunting, and climate change.
Our mission is to protect Cyprus’s wild birds, preserve their habitats, and promote sustainable development that benefits both people and wildlife. Cyprus is a crucial stopover for millions of migratory birds, including endangered species like the Eleonora's falcon and the Cyprus warbler. Through habitat restoration, anti-poaching efforts, and awareness campaigns, BirdLife Cyprus works to create a safe environment for these species to thrive.
Thus making a direct impact to protect birds and their habitats, combat illegal bird trapping, protect vital wetlands, and restore critical areas for biodiversity. We actively engage with local communities, raise awareness, and advocate for stronger environmental protections.
Every donation helps safeguard Cyprus’s birdlife and natural beauty, protect endangered species, preserve their habitats, and ensure a thriving natural world for future generations.
